Per 1c of the WP:Featured article criteria, "it is a thorough and representative survey of the relevant literature; claims are verifiable against high-quality reliable sources."
I am bolding the word "high-quality", as there is a higher standard of source than just reliable that references must meet for an article to become featured. I have started a discourse on whether we should have a list similar to WP:RSP of sources considered high-quality, as we could come to a consensus via discussion instead of figuring it out at random during featured article nominations and reviews. A lot of political sources either meet that standard with flying colors or fail miserably, so please give your input on which ones are good or which ones are not, and whether to support what I'm proposing or not.
